These charming villages are places to visit and enjoy. In the heart of exceptional natural sites, they are perched on hillsides. Enjoy the Beaches and Water Parks

As the temperatures in the summer soar what better way to cool off and relax than visiting one of southern Spain’s many beaches.  If you are feeling adventurous why not try parasailing?

There are also 2 water parks in the vicinity – Aquapark Torremolinos and Aquamijas.

We also offer a superb selection holiday rental apartments and villas with pools so you will be spoiled for choice.  Whichever you choose please don’t forget to use plenty of waterproof sun lotion and do make sure you stay hydrated.

Enjoy Tapas

Visit Andalusia and treat yourself with delicious cuisine. It is famous for its typical Mediterranean dishes accompanied by one of the best olive oils in the world. In addition, the Spanish like to go to bars and drink a glass of Andalusian wines (sherry, manzanilla). They eat tapas, these appetizers the size of a dish. They are often composed of smoked meat slices, olives, tomatoes, grilled vegetables, shrimps, ox tail and shared among the guests.  “Tapear” (drink in a bar), is a typical way of life that need to be discovered during a trip to Andalucia. Check out the small cafe-bars, frequented by locals.  In Mijas Village we would recommend Pampas (100m left of our office, in front of bus stop),or Tomillo Limón (in front of our office). 

Attend a Flamenco Show

Music, dance and guitar are part of Andalusian identity. One to check out is Celtic Night in the Municipal Auditorium in Mijas Village 9 pm on 3^rd August, and of course Fair of Mijas Village from 5^th to 9^th September, Virgen de la Peña Square, Mijas.

Catch a Ferry

A regular Ferry runs between Fuengirola and Benalmadena – if you are lucky enough you may see dolphins.

Due to the geographical position of Andalusia and to its climate, the parks of this region are truly sumptuous. They offer an exceptional flora and fauna, breathtaking landscapes and attract all nature lovers and hikers. 

Enjoy the Night Life

Andalucia comes alive during the warm balmy nights.  Many restaurants will be filled with families eating out into the early hours of the morning, and after the sun has gone down is a great time to enjoy a walk along one of the beach promenades.

City Day Trips

Why not visit one of the nearby cities – Malaga with its Gibralfaro Castle and superb Port area; Granada with its stunning Alhambra Palace; Ronda with its gorge; Seville with the Alcázar castle complex, the Gothic Seville Cathedral, site of Cristopher Columbus’ tomb, and the Minaret turned Bell Tower The Giralda. If you are not driving we recommend  Marbella Taxis - https://www.marbellataxis.com/, they can provide transfers all along the coast. 

Cable Car

A 15 minute duration tour covers the 3 kms distance from Benalmadena to the top of Mount Calamorro from where you can enjoy superb views of the Malaga coastline.  At an altitude of 769 metres above sea level you will find a restaurant and a Birds of Prey Show. 

Golf

There is a wide choice of golf courses and with its excellent climate the Costa del Sol is a golfer’s paradise.

Bioparc Fuengirola

What Bioparc Fuengirola represents is a different concept of zoo, rather it is a zoological park where animals live side by side recreating their natural habitat and so fostering their development at all levels.

Bioparc Fuengirola stands out for its architectural design as an “immersion zoo”, plunging visitors into the animals’ native environment.  The warm summer nights on the Costa del Sol offer visitors a unique opportunity in Europe as the Bioparc is the only which opens its premises until midnight in July and August.  Every summer it recreates the effect of moonlight using special illumination which allows visitors to discover the secrets of the mysterious night time world of the tropical woodlands..

Selwo Marina and Selwo Aventura

These special parks are well worth a visit:  Selwo Marina with its dolphin and sea lion displays and Selwo Aventur theme and adventure park which is set on 100 hectares of land where 200 species of animals can be seen.

Don’t forget Sea Life in Benalmadena or the Crocodile Park in Torremolinos.
